Aimpoint COA 3.5 MOA Red Dot Sight: Reliable, compact optic, and high-performance that lasts for years
The Aimpoint COA 3.5 MOA Red Dot Sightis an optic built for compact and concealed carry pistols. This Aimpoint optic is designed to be used on both slimline and standard-size pistol frames, which offers a very focused shooting experience that is easy to use.
Reliable battery life, up to more than 5 years: Aside from the sleek design, this COA Aimpoint was created to run a battery life that, even with the constant use of the optic, can run more than 5 years (50,000 hours) thanks to its CR2032 battery. On the other hand, it guarantees reliable readiness in any condition by being waterproof to 25 meters (82 feet).
Quick Access and Extreme Protection: The COA 3.5 MOA Red Dot Sight has a fully enclosed optical channel that helps provide comfort and protection from any debris interfering with the LED emitter and reflective lens, and due to how the compartment is structured, it also provides quick access to change the batteries without removing the sight, which professionals love.
Ease of Use Mounting and Optical View:The COA 3.5 Red Dot has a larger field of view due to the absence of an inner tube and a harder front lens protected by a 7075-T6 aluminum housing. This optic also mounts very easily via the A-CUT interface, which removes the need for an adapter plate for convenience.

Aimpoint COA 3.5 MOA Red Dot Sight FAQs
What does the A-Cut interface mean in Aimpoint COA Red Dot?
The A-CUT Interface is an optic mounting system that was developed by Aimpoint. This helps integrate red dot sights to the Aimpoint COA and directly mounts to the firearm instead of needing an adapter plate.
What does Aimpoint COA stand for?
To put it simply, Aimpoint refers to them as the “Closed Optic Assembly,” but in reality, they just wanted an acronym to claim and associate with their COA series, which has no trademark, so it basically has no real meaning.
How long does the Aimpoint COA battery life last?
It depends on how you use it and what you use the COA for, but typically, the battery lasts for about 50,00 hours or more than 5 years at a setting of 7, and it’s because it has the CR2032 Battery.
How do I adjust the brightness?
To adjust the brightness, simply press the plus or minus button on the left side to wake up the optic from its auto-lock mode. Once it's awake, use the plus button to turn up the brightness and the minus button to dim it across its 12 different daylight and night vision settings. You can find more details in the manual guide included with the optic.
Between Aimpoint COA vs Holosun, which is better?
While both optics are top-tier, the answer depends on the user’s preference. The Aimpoint COA Optic is perfect for users who want the assurance that their optic will never fall from their guns, while the Holosun is for the users who prefer other features, such as a bigger and wider viewing window or a green dot for example.
Is the Aimpoint Red Dot waterproof?
Yes. The COA has its lenses and sensitive materials enclosed and sealed with a very durable and touch aluminum housing.
How to turn on the Aimpoint COA?
The user manual has a lot more information for this, but to those who do not have that access, you can turn off the COA by simply pressing either the plus or minus button on the left side.
When will the Aimpoint COA be available for purchase?
It is already available for purchase. The Aimpoint COA series was released on January 20, 2025. It is safe to save, and it is now available for purchase here at Atomic Defense.
Aimpoint COA vs Acro, which is better?
Naturally, we wonder what the difference would be between the Aimpoint COA and the Aimpoint Acro Series and which is better, but to put it simply, both optics serve different purposes depending on how you use them. Comparing the two, the Acro is known for its “breadbox” blocky design and relies on adapter plates, while the COA removes more of the blocky shape, is sleeker and more durable, and does not require adapter plates.
