The Comanche Comms GrapheneOS Device is a purpose-built Google Pixel 9 device with a focus on privacy, security, and control of your data.
This device is configured to be used with a SIM card on the cell network of your choice. Sensors can all be toggled off (cameras, mics, GPS, gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity, compass, barometer, NFC), and BT and WIFI are set to automatically disconnect 1 minute after usage ceases. Device is programmed to reboot after 4 hours without usage, and USB port is set for charging only when locked.
This significantly limits common attack vectors for your device, but should not be considered for dedicated use as an end user device (EUD). It is designed to protect you on your daily digital commute, as well as real world encounters with LE (think customs). For a dedicated EUD device, please check our Comanche Comms EUD listing.
All devices can be programmed with up to 32 partitioned profiles for siloing device activity, a duress pin (or remote duress text via SMS) that wipes the devices back to factory settings, and optional security apps like Wasted (device and eSIM can be wiped remotely, or if a USB-C is plugged in). Apps are sandboxed and anonymized when downloaded through the Aurora store, which means no data collection and no ads.
Devices will come loaded with privacy, security and anti-surveillance focused apps, as well as ATAK and other support apps. We will also load the apps we recommend for common data channels.
All devices come unlocked, ready for you to connect to the cell carrier of your choice via SIM or eSIM. For security, we recommend Efani, for privacy, we recommend Silent Link; in both cases, we recommend eSIM. All devices ship with a USB backup in case you need to restore to factory settings (we all make mistakes and wipe our phone). We encourage you to make a secondary backup once you have made all of your preferred modifications as well, so you don't have to start from scratch.
All devices ship in a MAAK Forge Case, with the option to bundle with a MAAK Chest Mount (with module) and/or MAAK Vehicle Mount (dash mount). What is GrapheneOS?
GrapheneOS improves the privacy and security of the Pixel OS from the bottom up. It deploys technologies to mitigate whole classes of vulnerabilities and make exploiting the most common sources of vulnerabilities substantially more difficult. It improves the security of both the OS and the apps running on it. The app sandbox and other security boundaries are fortified. GrapheneOS tries to avoid impacting the user experience with the privacy and security features. Ideally, the features can be designed so that they're always enabled with no impact on the user experience and no additional complexity like configuration options. It's not always feasible, and GrapheneOS does add various toggles for features like the Network permission, Sensors permission, restrictions when the device is locked (USB-C / pogo pins, camera, quick tiles), etc. along with more complex user-facing privacy and security features with their own UX.
GrapheneOS also develops various apps and services with a focus on privacy and security. Vanadium is a hardened variant of the Chromium browser and WebView specifically built for GrapheneOS. GrapheneOS also includes our minimal security-focused PDF Viewer, our hardware-based Auditor app / attestation service providing local and remote verification of devices, our modern privacy / security focused camera app, and the externally developed Seedvault encrypted backup which was initially developed for inclusion in GrapheneOS.

Custom Programming
We do offer account creation and migration from existing accounts to privacy focused counterparts, in addition to the features of basic programming. This can include migration from existing data provider to a privacy focused data provider. This is a very bespoke job, which will require cooperation from the buyer. Requires a high degree of trust in our discretion, access to your personal apps and accounts, and is rather expensive.
